Creating a film takes a lot more than just grabbing some amateur footage on your old high school camera. When you want a finished product that looks professional, you want it not only to be shot correctly, but you want the colors and contrast to be just right for the mood of each scene. You do this through two processes: one is general color grading, and the other is applying a lookup table or LUT.
